Our first location was Henry’s Towing Company. The people at Henry’s were very nice and very accommodating. When we first visited there, they were helpful and showed us around and helped us figure out where we’d eat lunch and where we’d place our large production vehicle. As we described the story to them, they got it right away and seemed to appreciate the tone and the intent of the project.
On the day of shooting, everything was as they said it would be. And our host, Henry Junior was awesome. He was so helpful and just really pleasant. We were very happy to have him on set with us.
It was a very hot day and everyone tried to stay in the shade as much as possible. Gillian was wearing her Vibrams and unfortunately felt the heat of the concrete and asphalt right through her soles. But everyone drank enough water and no one complained about heat exhaustion. And we didn’t have any fainters!
All in all it was a lovely day, with excellent work from our actors and an amazing first day for the crew! We were on the right foot for a good week of shooting!
